  • You qualify to apply now or you will qualify within the next year
  • Be willing to practice English every day

Practice English everywhere!

We provide all the study materials you need. Instruction is in ENGLISH ONLY because your USCIS interview will be in English.

It is very important to practice English everywhere when you are preparing for the citizenship interview!

To pass the U.S. citizenship process in English, you need 4 things: 

  1. Pretty good English (Level 3 or higher)
  2. Confidence with the 100 Questions, including reading and writing for the interview
  3. Confidence with the questions on the N-400 application
  4. $680.00 ($595 application fee + $85 bio-metrics (fingerprints) fee and background check

What happens after you apply?

  • Come to class and practice English for the interview.
  • Wait for a letter with instructions to go to Denver and submit your fingerprints.
  • Go to Denver to five your fingerprints for a background check.
  • Wait for a letter with instructions to go to Denver for your USCIS interview.
  • Come to class and practice!
  • Go to your interview.

What happens at the interview?

  • You will promise to tell the truth.
  • You answer 6 out of 10 questions from the 100 Questions
  • You will read one question out loud pretty well (3 opportunities)
  • You will write one sentence pretty well (3 opportunities)
  • You will answer all the questions on your N-400 application
  • If you pass, you attend the Oath Ceremony (promise to be a good citizen)
  • Come back to class and celebrate!
